Explanation of Product Registration

Any ball manufactured before 1982 and, who's manufacturer is currently Product Registered in the appropriate category, is legal regardless of whether the ball appears on the Approved Equipment listing.

Full Registration Unlimited use of cleared bowling balls, apparel and accessories excluding shoes in PBA competition. On the Lumber Liquidator’s PBA Tour contracted athletes may wear apparel/accessories/patches and use equipment. For television, non-contracted athletes may use equipment but may not wear apparel/patches unless incentives have been posted for all competitors.
All Tour Competition Unlimited use of cleared bowling balls, apparel and accessories excluding shoes in all non-televised PBA competition. On the Lumber Liquidator’s PBA Tour contracted athletes may wear apparel/accessories/patches and use equipment. For television, non-contracted athletes may use equipment but may not wear apparel/patches unless incentives have been posted for all competitors.
Grassroots Unlimited use of cleared bowling balls, apparel and accessories, excluding shoes in PBA Tour Qualifying Rounds*, PBA Regional and Senior Tour competition (excluding any televised competition).

* Grassroots items not permitted during U.S. Open and World Championship competition or on the Lumber Liquidator's PBA Tour
Footwear Only Unlimited use of shoe line in PBA competition. Only 10 athletes may be signed to staff and only those 10 may wear patches. Everyone may wear the registered shoes in all PBA competition.
Footwear Only Limited Unlimited use of shoe line in PBA competition except Lumber Liquidator's PBA Tour. Only five players may be signed to staff and only those five may wear patches. Only the five staff players may wear the shoes on the Lumber Liquidator's PBA Tour.
Accessories Only Unlimited use of cleared accessories in PBA competition (excludes balls and shoes). As of August 31, 2006 if grip companies are not registered in this category, products may not be used.
Accessories Only Grassroots Unlimited use of cleared accessories in PBA Regional and Senior Tour competition, excluding balls and shoes (excluding any televised competition). As of August 31, 2006 if grip companies are not registered in this category, products may not be used on any PBA Tour. Products registered in this category may be used in Lumber Liquidator’s PBA Tour qualifying rounds.
Fan Club Only owner of/subject of Fan Club can register/wear patch.
